Christopher Melton originally from Trenton, MI, a southern suburb of Detroit. His father was a Master Volkswagen Technician at the family's Volkswagen dealership is Southgate, MI. He has held many positions, including detailer, technician, salesperson, and service advisor. He has worked his way up with hard work, dedication, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

John has been a car guy as long as he can remember. He jacked up his mother's car with the bumper jack when he was 5 years old. He overhauled his first VW engine when he was 17 (it was a beetle and had semaphore turn signals), and built his first VW dune buggy when he was 21. At 20 he began working at a local garage and learned about restoration and repair of various models of cars. He even worked on a 1928 Packard Touring car! That inspired him to figure out a way to make some extra money doing what he loved to do.
He restored his first Porsche 1953 bent window coupe, followed by a 1960D Roadster which, after being sold, became the down payment for our first house. Throughout the years he has owned three VW Beetles, and a diesel Rabbit that took them on many long road trips during the gas crisis. After turning wrenches for many years, I decided that he wanted to keep his hands clean and become a service advisor.John enjoys working with the public, especially those customers who love their cars and love sharing their experiences. Some of his customers have been working with him for over 20 years, and he has enjoyed learning about their families and their cars.
